Since January 2023, there have been a wave of changes to IRCC’s policies regarding international students.
The sheer number and reach of these changes have caused uncertainty and confusion – for Canadian higher education, our programs, for faculty, and for students.
Join Victoria Surtees as we welcome special guests David McGuire and Daryl Smith from UFV International, to discuss these changes and their impacts, including:
A general overview of the most significant changes to IRCC’s policies on the International Student Program
- Some impacts the changes have had on UFV so far
- Supports that have been made available to students
- How you and your unit can express care and understanding during these uncertain times.
