Time: 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm
The Race and Antiracism Network at UFV Presents:
RAN Forum: So You Want to be an Ally?
Tuesday, October 6th at 4:30pm
The Race and Antiracism Network invite ALL UFV staff, faculty, admin, students and leadership to our forum based on the follow-up from the forum in June, 2020. In this Forum, the Race and Anti-racism Network (RAN) will present and discuss what we mean by allyship. The members of the panel will examine the challenges, fears, and experiences of being an ally and working with allies.
We ask you to think about what allyship means for you at UFV.
This is RAN’s first step towards allyship training at UFV – we strongly recommend you attend this first session before attending the follow up workshops. Allyship is a long work in progress and cannot be achieved in one-sitting.
Panelists:
Dr. Rita Atake
Dr. Jacqueline Nolte
Shirley Hardman
Moderator: Dr. Adrienne Chan
