UFV Trades and Technology is hosting a “Leap into Trades” day on February 29.
This will be an exciting day filled with hands on career exploration and competition!
8 am – 4 pm: Skills Canada BC Regional Competition
9am – 1:30 pm: Try-a-trade for grade 9 students
2:30 – 7:30 pm: Open House
Starting off the day is the Skills Canada BC Regional (Secondary) competition.
We are hosting the following competitions:
– Architectural CAD
-Automotive Technology
-Cabinetmaking
-Carpentry
-Culinary
-Electrical Wiring
-Mechanical CAD
-Welding
We will have a pathway set up through the shops of our trades building where students will be able to watch the Skills Canada BC competition take place, as well as participate in a variety of learning opportunities through try-a-trade activities.
Come to the Open House where you can learn more about programs offered by our Trades, Technologies, Engineering and Physics departments.
This event is open to the public of all ages, and we hope to see you there!
